1st Q wrap-up

As we now have entered November and are winding down the first quarter of the year (November 10th), we are looking forward to upcoming events like our annual Veterans Day program, the annual MCC American Education Celebration, and the annual Musical put on by our drama department. We also are looking forward to the winter sports season and the upcoming holidays. The first day of the 2nd  quarter starts on November 13th.

Congratulations go out to our HS Band and the successful marching season they had this year, finishing in first place at each of their marching contests. We also want to congratulate our football team, volleyball team, cheer squads, and the cross country teams on their seasons this fall. Congratulations to Evan Baumgardner on qualifying for the state cross country meet by finishing 5th at the Section 3A meet last week. Good luck at State Evan!

It has been a fun and exciting first quarter of the year and we look forward to what is ahead of us here at MCC for the remainder of the year.

In the very near future, we will be hosting our 7-12 Parent/Teacher conferences on November 6th from 3:30-7:00 p.m. This is a great way to connect with your child’s teachers. We will also be holding our Winter Sports Eligibility meeting that night starting at 7:15 p.m. in the competition gymnasium. We will be honoring our Veterans during a program on November 10th at 2:00 p.m. in the high school competition gym. All veterans and their families are invited to attend and will be served cookies, coffee, and juice after the program. This year’s fall school musical performance will be the production of “Grease”. These performances will be held on November 10th and 11th at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday afternoon November 12th at 2:00 p.m. All performances will be held in the MCC Auditorium. The annual MCC American Education Celebration will be held on Tuesday, November 14th in the new gymnasium. This night will honor selected students, staff, retired staff, community members, and the induction of this year’s Wall of Fame selection, Mr. Mark Schleisman. Everyone in the community is invited to attend this great event.

Please take a moment and express your gratitude for our educators and staff. While teaching and all the other work needed to keep a school District up and running is not easy in the best of times, these past few years have been especially taxing on our educators and staff. They appreciate and need your encouragement to keep serving our students to the best of their abilities. We have a great staff here at MCC and the difference they make in the lives of the children they serve is unmeasurable.

If you haven’t already done so, take a moment to follow us on social media and download our MCC Schools app. This is an easy way to stay up to date on all that is happening around MCC. We continue to improve this site to make it more user friendly and up to date. One of these most recent improvements was the update of our events tab being synced immediately with our K-12 Events Calendar as opposed to syncing every 12 hours.

We invite you into our schools for all of the events that we have going on. It is still not too late to get your activity passes and if you are a district resident 65+, you are eligible for a FREE lifetime activity pass. Stop by the district office to pick yours up today.

On to Quarter 2!

Go Rebels!
