K-Kids Collect Donations for the Murray County Christmas Project

MCC K-Kids is a youth community service organization sponsored by the Slayton Kiwanis Club. The K-Kids group is open to all 5th and 6th grade students at MCC. We currently have 35 members who are working to serve their school and community through various projects.
K-Kids holds their annual “Dollar Day” fundraiser on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving each year. On Dollar Day, all MCC Elementary staff and students are invited to wear their pajamas to school and donate one dollar (or more, if they wish) to be donated to the Murray County Christmas Project. The Murray County Christmas Project helps to provide Christmas gifts to over 300 local children each year. This year, K-Kids collected $511.11 to give to this amazing organization!
The K-Kids would like to thank all of those who donated to make this fundraiser a successful event. We are proud to help local children in need have a Merry Christmas!
