MCC Rebels Homecoming 2018

Who doesn’t love a parade?  The MCC Student Council invites community organizations to add an entry to this year’s Homecoming Parade, which is on Friday, September 21 starting at 2:30 on Broadway Avenue.  Line-up starts at 2:15 at the First National Bank and south on Linden Avenue. Contact Amy Woldt at the high school to register your parade entry.  Special Note:  If you have an entry in the parade, we ask that you NOT throw candy from the vehicle or float.  You can hand out candy by walking along the sides of the street.  We do this to assure the safety of our students.  The entire community is welcome to attend the parade!
There are many other activities planned for Homecoming Week.  The students will be building their floats on Saturday the 15th at 5:00 p.m.  This is followed by the Powderpuff Football game at 7:00 at the MCC football field.  This is free and open to the public.  Concessions will be available. You won’t want to miss this!!  The girls are pumped and ready!
Coronation takes place on Monday, Sept. 17 at 8:00 in the high school auditorium.  Admission is one dollar.  The other events for the week include Dodgeball, Iron Man Volleyball, Kickball, Class Wars, and on Friday we have the Pepfest, Parade, Football game vs. the New Ulm Cathedral Greyhounds.  Game time is 7:30 p.m.  After the game, we have the bonfire/dance for students in grades 7-12 at the softball complex.
The dress up days for the week are:  Monday—America Day, Tuesday—Beach Day, Wednesday—Hippie/Disco Day (get out your tie-dye and bell-bottoms!), Thursday—Class Colors Day, and Friday—Spirit Day.  Daily prizes will be given at the high school for people who dress up.  We also have Homecoming buttons, which are numbered for daily prize drawings at the high school.  A special thanks goes out to all the local businesses, organizations, and individuals who have donated prizes for our Homecoming Week.  There is still time to donate, just contact the high school office.
You can view the complete Homecoming schedule of events on the MCC website at  We encourage the entire community to come out and support our Volleyball, Cross Country, and Football teams! Thanks to the MCC Cheerleaders for cheering them on!  Have a wonderful Homecoming Week!  Go Rebels!!
