Literacy Night Recap! What a great night at MCC! Thank you to all of our families who joined us for Literacy Night—we loved seeing so many students and parents learning and having fun together!
Students had a blast playing Bingo for Books and adding new reads to take home 📖, while families explored activities focused on the five key areas of reading—phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension.
Parents also had the opportunity to learn more about how the brain learns to read and how reading skills develop over time, along with simple ways to support learning at home.
Events like this are a great reminder that when school and families work together, amazing things happen for our students.
