The MSHSL Board of Directors voted to start Volleyball and Football seasons on September 28. First date that a contest can be held will be October 8. Please continue to be patient as schedules are formed and will be passed on as they are confirmed! Thank you and go Rebels!

Dear MCC Parents/Guardians, The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has extended the free summer meal program for students through December 31, 2020 or until the funds run out. This program will provide free meals for all Murray County Central School students in grades Pre-Kindergarten –grade 12 Monday through Friday when school is in session. Students that are taking virtual learning through MCC using “Educere” are also eligible for this free meal program. Meals will not be delivered, but can be picked up at the high school at a designated window of time. In order to schedule meal pick up please contact Elissa Wieneke at 507-836-8360 or elissa_wieneke@mcc.mntm.org. The free meals for all students will start on Monday, September 14th and will continue until December 31, 2020 or until funds run out from the USDA. At the conclusion of this program, your lunch status will return to free / reduced or paid, as determined by your completion of the Application for Educational Benefits. Any extra entrees or milk beyond the free meal will be charged as it normally would be. It is important that families continue to fill out the free and reduced lunch application otherwise known as “Application for Educational Benefits”. https://mcc.onlinejmc.com/Parent/meals_application.aspx This needs to be completed each year because the benefits do not carry over to the new school year. If your family qualifies you will receive school meals at no charge when this program ends. Filling out this form is also extremely beneficial to our school district because the more students that qualify, the more compensatory revenues our district will receive. We can use this money to help keep our class sizes small and offer opportunities that directly benefit our students. Please contact the district office with any questions.

Please bring a mask to tonight’s eligibility meeting for the Fall practice season! If you attended the cross country meeting you do not need to attend. Football is at 5:30 and Volleyball is at 6:00. Both meetings will be held at the football grandstands! The cost is $25 made out to: ISD 2169! Only one parent needs to attend! Thank you and Go Rebels!

The Minnesota Department of Health is developing a COVID Parent Screening Tool. This tool will provide guidance for when to keep your children home from school due to illness and/or COVID exposure. As soon as I receive this screening tool, it will be made available and should be used to screen your children for COVID symptoms. Prior to sending your children to school, a daily COVID screening must be conducted. Good Afternoon, This is just a reminder for all students to bring a water bottle to drink out of during the school day. Our water filling stations will be open but the drinking fountains will not be able to be used. MCC has ordered water bottles for all students and they will be handed out once they arrive. Please only bring water bottles that are clear/transparent. Thank you.

Getting Ready For Band at MCC!

Good Afternoon, Schedules for students in grades 7-12 have been emailed out to all families. This year we will not be handing out paper schedules on the first day of school as we have done in the past. Please make sure your child knows their schedule and/or has a copy or way to access it. Thank you.

Good Morning, Any K-12 students in MCC's Virtual Academy may pick up their school issued computers tomorrow, Friday September 4th, from 7:30am-3:00pm at the Central High School front doors. If you cannot make it tomorrow, we will also have a pick up time on Tuesday September 8th from 12-1pm at the Central High School front doors.

The MCC track maintenance and painting is now complete! The outdoor track will be CLOSED until Sept. 7. for curing.

This is just a reminder to join us for 7th grade orientation tomorrow night at 7:00 pm. Students can arrive at 6:30 pm to work on locker combinations and review their schedule (parents will not be permitted in the building) but the Google Meet virtual meeting will start at 7:00 pm for parents. Please remember to bring your insurance card, as this vaccination is covered by most insurance plans. If you do not have proof of insurance or are uninsured, a cash payment will be required at the time of service. Cash price for ages 64 and under is $29.00. Cash price for the high dose vaccine, ages 65 and older is $58.99. Strict social distancing guidelines will be followed. Remember to wear your mask and stay home if you are not feeling well.
