Many students have school library books in their possession, and I encourage you to enjoy using those materials. When you are finished, please return books to the designated bin in the entry of West or Central. New book requests may be sent to: theresa_nysetvold@mcc.mntm.org

Dear Parents/Guardians: The new journey of Distance Learning is upon us. Distance Learning will officially begin on Monday, March 30th. Parents and guardians of students in PreK - 6th grade will be picking up packets on Thursday, March 26 to coincide with the High School pick-up date. The next packet pick-up day for elementary students will be Monday, April 6th. Packets will not be returned the following week. Please review the information inside your packet with instructions on how to return your student’s work electronically to ensure our MCC community health and safety. Thursday, March 26th Pick-up times at WEST Elementary 7:00-8:30 AM 12:00-1:00 PM 4:30-6:00 PM Please enter the parking lot and stop at the front door of West Elementary during the above mentioned times. Remain in your vehicle and staff will get your family's packet. Packets will be organized by families to speed up the pick-up process. Please contact me if you are unable to pick-up your child’s packet on Thursday. We all know, as a parent, that YOU are your child's first teacher. As we venture through Distance Learning, I can't thank you enough for working cooperatively and collaboratively with our staff. Please feel free to reach out to your child’s teacher or myself with any and all questions. The staff is here to assist you throughout this journey and can be contacted by email, phone, and Google classroom. Thank you for your continued commitment to your children and our 2019-2020 school year. Together we can do this!! Sincerely, Todd Burlingame MCC Elementary Principal

Distance Learning Transition Letter
Dear MCC Elementary Parents/Guardians As parents, teachers, school staff, bus drivers, school food service and loved ones of our kids - we are going into uncharted waters on a new journey. We will all encounter children today and in the days ahead who are confused and scared. Our students will be looking to all of us for comfort and peace. Continue to be a source of strength, consistency and calm reassurance that everything we are doing is to keep them safe and healthy. We will continue to work hard to do our best for our kids every day. We can do this together. Our kids are looking towards us to lead the way. If school does not resume on Monday, March 30, and to keep the academic learning ongoing, MCC Elementary will be implementing Distance Learning by providing packets of work to complete. The plan is to pick up these packets on Mondays at West Elementary. The staff has been busy preparing for Distance Learning this week and will continue this preparation next week. Each grade level is creating age appropriate learning activities for students. Activities will include all subject areas as well as games, enrichment and family time. Students will have required academic activities along with options/choices to enhance learning while staying safe and healthy during their absence from a regular classroom setting, Please look for more detailed information next week. Sincerely, Todd Burlingame MCC Elementary Principal

We would like to give a big shout out to the Murray County Dairy Association for their donation of milk at two of the basketball games this year. They also donated milk to the Coaches vs Cancer game that was canceled. That milk will now be delivered through the school lunches that will be handed out in the next few days! They totaled over $600 in milk donations throughout the three activities! Thank you MCDA! Rebel Pride!
